IMC Rating Pilot Training
The Instrument Meteorological Conditions IMC rating will enable you to fly an aeroplane in UK airspace in poor weather, and by sole reference to the instruments.
An IMC rating will give you a more advanced
We also have a simulator that would help you master the art of instrument flying whilst still on the ground before taking to the sky to test your instrument flying capabilities.

IMC training is an invaluable skill to have for any pilot because it opens up far more opportunities for you as a pilot allowing you to fly in a wider range of weather conditions.

What The IMC Flight Training Involves.
A minimum of 15 hours of dual flight training in the aircraft is required. This includes 5 hours of basic and partial panel instrument flight, plus 10 hours of radio navigation and instrument approaches.

You will have lessons on how to fly the aircraft with a simulated failure of one or more of the flight instruments without the help of any external reference.

Once you have managed basic instrument flying skills you learn about applied instrument flying. You will learn to navigate the aircraft using a variety of ground based radio beacons. Once you have it you can then take-off with a minimum cloud base of 600 feet above ground and 1 mile visibility, as long as the destination airfield has a forecast minimum cloud base on arrival of 1000 feet.
