Despite having to delay their departure date due to bad weather, Paul Knott and Martin Gates in G-BBDE and Robbie Keane in N808VT took off from Panshanger on 31st May 2013 bound for Portugal. They flew at FL70 to La Rochelle and then lower to 2,000ft along France’s west coast to Biarritz for their first overnight stop. In the morning, they set off for Evora in Portugal where they flew low level along the west coast and landed for a sardines and seabass lunch in Alvor! Weather dictated an overnight stop in San Sebastian on the way home, but the approach to the airfield was well worth it. Well done to them!
